DOMAINE DE POUILLY/ DOMAINE BESSON
Pouilly-Fuisse, Burgundy

Domaine de Pouilly/Domaine Besson is located in the middle of Pouilly-Fuisse in the south of Burgundy and covers 40 acres of vines. The domaine was first established by Andre’s grandfather, Petrus, in 1933, after working for other properties as winemaker and vineyard manager.
Today, Vincent and his brother Pierre-Antoine are adding their own dimension. They own some of the oldest vines in Pouilly and in 1999 André handed over a small parcel of these vines to Vincent to make his first vintage. The character of the wine reflects the artisan craft these four generations of winemakers have mastered.

Bourgogne is a regional appellation. The producing communes are: Department of Yonne: 54 communes. Department of Côte-d'Or: 91 communes and Department of Saône-et-Loire: 154 communes.
Bourgogne blanc is a success story. It brings out the best of the Chardonnay grape, now grown everywhere but whose native home is Bourgogne and which finds here its most sublime expression (Montrachet, Meursault, Chablis, Corton-Charlemagne, Pouilly-Fuissé...) The Bourgogne AOC, authorized in 1937, extends to the three departments of Yonne, Côte-d’Or and Saône-et-Loire.
This Bourgogne is a Macon Villages declassified located in the Mâconnais region of Saône-et-Loire.
