Château Laffitte Carcasse, Saint-Estèphe
Chateau Laffitte Carcasset owes its name to Joseph Laffitte, an attorney of the King of France. The estate was owned by the Laffitte family until sold in 1838 to Martin Alçuet. The property was originally named Carcasset after the “lieu-dit” it was situated on. Since its creation, the estate has taken a variation of names Carcasset-Alçuet, Carcasset-Laffitte and was finally renamed in 1898 as Laffitte-Carcasset by the new owner Jean Grillet.Grillet.
