Producer: Domaine de Pouilly
Wine: 2023 Pouilly-Fuisse
Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: This wine greets the palate with a smooth, velvety texture and a harmonious blend of ripe citrus and almond flavors. Subtle mineral notes bring an added complexity, while a touch of citrus on the finish lifts the wine, enhancing its elegance and finesse. Its lively acidity adds both structure and freshness, leading to a long, graceful finish where hints of honey and buttery oak gradually unfold. Though delicious now, this wine also has the potential to evolve and gain even more depth with age.
Cellaring: Drink now or hold few years
DOMAINE DE POUILLY/ DOMAINE BESSON
Pouilly-Fuisse, Burgundy

Domaine de Pouilly/Domaine Besson is located in the middle of Pouilly-Fuisse in the south of Burgundy and covers 40 acres of vines. The domaine was first established by Andre’s grandfather, Petrus, in 1933, after working for other properties as winemaker and vineyard manager.
Today, Vincent and his brother Pierre-Antoine are adding their own dimension. They own some of the oldest vines in Pouilly and in 1999 André handed over a small parcel of these vines to Vincent to make his first vintage. The character of the wine reflects the artisan craft these four generations of winemakers have mastered.

Pouilly Fuissé is a village appellation located in the Mâconnais region of Saône-et-Loire. Producing communes are Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson, and Chaintré. On the label, this appellation may be followed by the name of the Climat of origin.
The rocky outcrops of Solutré and Vergisson, emblematic of these vineyards, remind us that from a height of 500 meters, 200 million years of history is looking down on us! Indeed, 20,000 years ago one of the most fully evolved prehistoric cultures flourished here. This AOC, instituted in 1936, takes in the four villages of Solutré-Pouilly, Fuissé, Vergisson and Chaintré.
