CHATEAU TOUR HAUT VIGNOBLE
Saint-Estèphe, Bordeux

The vineyards of Château Tour Haut Vignoble lie near the Atlantic Ocean and along the Gironde estuary, benefiting from the gentle, tempering influence of the river. Situated in the northern part of Saint-Estèphe, the estate is planted on slopes composed of deep gravel and clay-limestone soils—an ideal combination that provides excellent natural drainage and steady, moderated temperatures. Though the property has been cultivated for nearly 190 years, the current vines average 36 years of age, offering both maturity and vitality.
Each grape variety is vinified and aged separately, plot by plot, to preserve the unique character of each parcel. Traditional cold pre-fermentation maceration and frequent pump-overs help extract deep color and support a clean, controlled fermentation. The estate also employs physical tangential filtration to ensure purity and finesse in the final wine.
Owned by the Braquessac family since 1860, the château continues to be managed with great respect for its land, intervening as little as possible in the vineyard. Today, the collaboration between father, an agricultural engineer, and son, an oenologist, drives a constant pursuit of quality

Saint-Estèphe is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) for red wine in the Bordeaux region, located in the Médoc subregion. It takes its name from the commune of Saint-Estèphe and is the northernmost of the six communal appellations in Médoc. Five classified growths of 1855 (Bordeaux Grands Crus Classés en 1855) are located within the appellation area. Saint-Estèphe has held AOC recognition since 1936.
